Zeynel abidin cümbüş
Cümbüş (Cumbush or Cumbus) is a stringed instrument with aluminum body and skin soundboard. It bears its maker’s, Zeynel Abidin Cümbüş’s surname, which is given by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. Zeynel Abidin Cümbüş developed this instrument in 1930s. Actually, “cümbüş” means fun and revelry in Turkish. When you see a standard cümbüş, you will notice that it looks like and even sounds like an American banjo. Zeynel abidin cümbüş

Cumbus is a stringed musical instrument developed by Zeynel Abidin Cümbüş in the early 20th century. The stem can be separated from the point where it connects with the body. In this way, it can be converted into many instruments such as mandolin and guitar by changing only its strings. Its general structure is similar to banjo and uda. Some parts of its body are made of aluminum. The chest board is covered with a leather reed. Played with a plectrum like other stringed instruments. Its boat is round and of metal. It has 12 strings (i.e. six pairs of wires). Its handle is curtainless. The wires are made of steel.
