    Fretless classic guitar dates back to BC. Fretless lute type instrument dating back to 5000s. The classical guitar version was invented in 1976 by Erkan Oğur, who blended Turkish, Arabic and Persian maqams with jazz modes and blues series in his music. The electric version of the fretless guitar was created not to play special sequences and maqams that cannot be expressed with the western tampere system, but rather to capture the sound colors created according to this system and that cannot be achieved in the fret layout.
