Instrument à cordes en noyer arabe fait main Oud Ud AAO-108G

I'm very happy with this instrument, for the price it really is very impressive!
Looks, plays and sounds great. Strings it comes with are not amazing, particularly the nylon high strings, but they're perfectly fine and you get a free extra set as well.
It has fantastic sustain, though there is an ever so slight bump on the fingerboard where the neck meets the body that plays a little bit dead, but all the other notes sound perfectly fine.
The guitar-style tuners are very convenient and precise, though because of the relatively extreme bend all Ouds have at the nut, the strings can stick sometimes.
It was shipped in a bag, inside a big Styrofoam Oud-shaped sarcophagus, haha, and then inside a big box. Somewhere in transit the box actually did get a big nasty bump but the styrene protected the Oud perfectly.
DHL priority shipping got it here (NL) in five days as advertised!

Overall I had a great experience with Sala and with DHL and am very, very happy with this instrument! It's not "perfect", of course it isn't (and what is?), but for this price I could not have hoped for anything better!
